Evonik Cyro has consistently manufactured acrylic mil spec products for both military and commercial aircraft applications. ACRYLITE® GP acrylic sheet is made to exacting standards. Half the weight of glass with many times the impact resistance, ACRYLITE GP sheet offers excellent optical characteristics, thickness tolerances, light stability, and low internal stress levels for consistent performance. ACRYLITE GP sheet is weatherable and can be easily cut, sawed, machined, thermoformed and cemented. Mil spec grades include:

ACRYLITE 249 sheet is aerospace-grade and cross linked, offering superior craze and heat resistance, and water absorption. Designed for aircraft glazing, it is certified to meet or exceed the current version of Military Specification MIL PRF-8184F as a Type II, Class 2 material.

ACRYLITE GMS sheet is preshrunk and manufactured to meet or exceed the current version of Military Specification MIL PRF-5425E. Used in aircraft glazing applications, it is subjected to one of the most critical optical inspections in the industry.

ACRYLITE GMU sheet offers superior optical quality and thickness tolerances for nonmilitary aircraft applications. Certified to meet or exceed the current version of AMS-LP-391 and ASTM-D-4802.
